BTS’s Jungkook Achieves Top Spot in September Idol Individual Brand Reputation with Successful Solo Career

BTS’s Jungkook ranked first in the idol individual brand reputation for September

The Korea Corporate Reputation Research Institute analyzed idol individual brand big data from August 26th to September 26th, 2023, extracting a total of 60,997,497 data points from 1,720 idol individuals. They measured brand reputation using consumer participation index, media index, communication index, and community index to analyze consumers’ perception of idol individual brands. Compared to the previous August, this data showed a decrease of 37.11% in brand big data, which amounted to 96,997,747 data points.

Brand reputation index is a metric created through brand big data analysis, which reveals the significant impact of consumers’ online habits on brand consumption. It measures the positivity and negativity of consumers’ evaluations, media interest, and communication volume towards idol individual brands. It also includes monitoring of idol brand reputation editors and risk assessments.

Korea Corporate Reputation Research Institute CEO Koo Chang-hwan said, “In the idol individual brand reputation rankings for September 2023, BTS’s Jungkook brand ranked first. When we analyzed idol individual brand big data, we found that it decreased by 37.11% compared to the previous August, with a breakdown showing a 44.42% decrease in brand consumption, a 9.09% decrease in brand issues, a 42.37% decrease in brand communication, and a 41.68% decrease in brand diffusion.”

He continued, “BTS’s Jungkook, who ranked first in the idol individual brand reputation for September 2023, scored highly in link analysis as ‘unique, cool, and contracted.’ In keyword analysis, ‘Billboard, Seven, ARMY’ were the top keywords. In terms of sentiment analysis, a big data positivity rate of 90.57% was recorded.”
