BTS won MTV UK’s ‘Hottest Superstar’ for 3 years in a row

BTS was selected as MTV’s “Best of best Superstar’ for the 3rd consecutive year.

On August 29 (local time), MTV UK announced on their official website: “BTS won the 1st place in the vote for MTV’s Hottest Superstar 2021, which was held until August 23, with 19.3 million votes in total.”

In particular, achieving No.1 for 3 consecutive years since 2019, BTS has tied with One Direction for their record of winning 1st from 2013 to 2015 consecutively.

In the vote this year, BTS had to compete against 50 candidates, including Ariana Grande, Little Mix, Twenty One Pilots, Taylor Swift, Bruno Mars, etc. in order to be selected as the ‘Hottest Superstar’.

Having been held for 9 years since 2013, ‘MTV Hottest Superstar’ is an annual online voting event in which MTV would choose the “Best Superstar’.
