BTS won 4 Daesangs at 2021 MAMA, proving their unrivaled presence despite not attending the ceremony

BTS brought home all 4 grand prizes at Mnet Asian Music Awards this year.

At the 2021 Mnet ASIAN MUSIC AWARDS (2021 MAMA) held on December 11th, BTS won 4 daesangs, including Album of the Year, Worldwide Icon of the Year, Song of the Year and Artist of the Year. Although they were absent from the awards ceremony, they still showed their outstanding presence.

Delivering their acceptance speech through a video, BTS said, “Thanks again to ARMY’s love and support throughout this year that we were honored with precious awards. For all of those who had difficult times this year, we tried new things in making music to share strength and comfort. We have worked very hard. Thank you for enjoying our music. We gained enormous love this year, and we will share this honor with everyone who worked hard to make great music and performances with us. And most of all, we think this is the award that we received with ARMY.”

They continued, “We hope we all can believe that greater hope is on its way. We will work harder so our music can be your peace of mind and comfort in difficult times. Hope you all have a happy year-end.”
