According to a Mexican media outlet, BTS maybe gracing the stage of the 2022 FIFA World Cup
On October 3rd (local time), a media site from Mexico published a statement which said, “It may be possible to deliver impressive news to fans of BTS in as soon as a few hours. There is word going around from several sources that [BTS] will perform during the opening ceremony of the Qatar World Cup in front of 60,000 people.”
In the same statement, the news outlet also described BTS as “the biggest boy band in the world”, and the FIFA world cup as “the most important event in soccer”, that once begins, “ becomes an event that immobilizes the world”.
On the other hand, the opening ceremony of the 2022 FIFA World Cup will be held on November 20th at Al Bayt Stadium in Qatar. On the same day, a match between Qatar and Ecuador will kick-start this famous soccer tournament.
Currently, BTS members are named as official promoters for the global sustainability initiative “The Goal of the Century” managed by Hyundai Motors, who is also the official sponsor and partner of the 2022 FIFA World Cup.
