BTS received Order of Cultural Merits at Korean Popular Culture & Arts Awards

BTS was the youngest to receive the cultural medal at  Korean Popular Culture & Arts Awards.

On Oct. 24th, BTS received Order of Cultural Merits at Korean Popular Culture & Arts Awards held at in Banghak-dong, Songpa-gu, Seoul. Kim Namjoon (RM), Kim Seok-jin (Jin), Kim Taehyung (V), Min Yoongi (Suga), Park Ji-min (Jimin), Jeon Jungkook (Jungkook) and Jeong Hoseok (J-Hope) were honored to wear the medals on their chests.

RM said, “We’ll try to pay this honor back to our ARMYs.” Other members also sent their thanks to the members, fans, their company and staff, their family and their PD, and promised to work harder in the future.

The Culture, Sports and Tourism Ministry complimented on the group, “BTS has contributed to the development of Hallyu, gaining recognition not only from domestic activities but also from overseas music markets including Japan and the U.S. Most of the members are described as singer-songwriter idols with lyrics and writing skills.”
