BTS is leaving for New York as President Moon Jae In’s special envoy for culture with the red passports shining in their hands.
On the afternoon of September 18, BTS arrived at Incheon International Airport, leaving for the U.S to attend the 76th UN General Assembly. Being appointed as President Moon Jae In’s special envoy, they showed up with the red diplomatic passports.
Regarding BTS’s airport fashion, 7 members appeared with 7 styles and colors. V dressed up in a colorful patterned shirt and pants while RM wore a comfortable gray training suit. Both Jin and Jimin wore black hats, and Jung Kook attracted the public’s attention by revealing his tattoos.
In particular, all of them wore belts, costumes, and bags from the luxury brands of which they are the house ambassadors. Of course, BTS’s visuals still shined more brightly than those luxury goods.
Lately, on September 14, BTS was awarded the certificates of appointment as “the president’s special envoy for public diplomacy and the future generations” by President Moon Jae In at the Blue House. The members dressed neatly in black suits and took some commemorative photos with the president.
From September 19, they will join the president’s schedule to attend the UN General Assembly as special envoys. At this general meeting to be held on the core agenda of the SDG, BTS will give a speech on behalf of Korea. In addition, a performance video of BTS will also be shown.
Regarding the appointment of the special envoy, in July, leader RM went on SBS’ 8News’ and expressed his feelings, “Although we still lack in many ways, if there’s anything we can do as special envoys at the UN General Assembly, we will take this responsibility with our joyful hearts and always remind ourselves: “Let’s do this for our country”. We will try our best to complete our missions before returning home.”
