BTS Jungkook and Charlie Puth’s “Left and Right” Wins BMI’s Most-Performed Song Award, Showcasing Global Influence
BTS Jungkook and Charlie Puth have been awarded the ‘Most-Performed Song of the Year’ by the US copyright organization BMI (Broadcast Music, Inc.).
According to BMI, the Most-Performed Song of the Year is selected based on the song that has received the most plays in terrestrial radio, satellite radio, and digital streaming services over the past year, making it an outstanding achievement in terms of music performance.
“Left and Right” has enjoyed a tremendous surge in popularity since its release, with continuous radio play worldwide.
Additionally, the song has surpassed 100 million streams on the world’s largest streaming platform, Spotify, within 24 days of release, 200 million streams in 61 days, 300 million in 104 days, 400 million in 159 days, and 500 million in 232 days (pre-filtering).
Furthermore, “Left and Right” has charted on Billboard’s main singles chart Hot 100, for a continuous 17 weeks and has been selected as one of the “17 Best Collaboration Songs of 2022.”
In addition, “Left and Right” has received numerous accolades, including winning the “Collaboration Song” category at the 2022 E! People’s Choice Awards (PCAs), the 2022 Year-End Best Gold category from the esteemed US record industry association RIAA (Recording Industry Association of America), and ranking first in the 2022 Y100 Bob of the Summer’ selected by Y100 Michiana, among others.
Moreover, the song has garnered recognition as the 2022 Best Hit Summer Song organized by the global charity organization RED and Italian car brand Fiat, and as one of The 11 Best Songs for Summer 2022 by Esquire magazine.
