In the first half of 2018, which dramas, idols and actors were most loved? Online research company PMI asked 5,000 men and women from 20 to 50 years old about the best dramas, idols, and actors in the second half of the year through a survey platform called ” No. 1. ”

BTS was chosen as the hottest idol group in the first half of the year with 38.5% of the total votes. BTS is enjoying high popularity in the U.S, with their third album “LOVE YOURSELF ‘Tear’” not only topped the U.S’ Billboard 200 chart, but also made it on the chart for nine consecutive weeks. Right behind them in the best idol group chart in the first haft of 2018 is TWICE with 23.5%. Other idols who also made the chart are BlackPink (18.1%), MAMAMOO (17.8%), Wanna One (14.3%) and Red Velvet (13.6%).

On the other hand, Son Ye-jin (25.6%) and Park Seo-joon (29.1%) were voted as the best actress and actor in the first half of this year. Son Ye-jin came back to the small screen for the first time in five years as ‘ A Beautiful Noona Who Buys Well ‘ and established herself as a box-office star by starring in ‘ Be With You’. Park Seo-jun is loved by many for his good looks and ability to speak Spanish in the current drama “ Why Secretary Kim? “ and the entertainment show “Youn’s Kitchen 2”.

1st place – Park Seo Joon (29.1% votes)
2nd place – Jung Hae In (20.3% votes)
3rd place – Jo Jin Woong (13.1% votes)
