BTS’s “Proof” sold over 2.15 million copies in one day, the only first day 2-million seller in Kpop

Famous boy group BTS is continuing their unique record with shocking sales for their new album “Proof”.

According to Hanteo Chart, as of 11 pm on June 10th (KST), the sales volume for BTS’s new album “Proof” has exceeded 2,155,363 million copies within just one day after release.

After the 4th full album “MAP OF THE SOUL: 7” released in February 2020, BTS proved to be a true “21st century pop icon” by having first day sales surpassing 2 million copies for the second time. As of the moment, BTS is the only Kpop artist to become a double million seller (album sales exceed 2 million copies) within one day after the release of the new album.

BTS also set a new record in terms of digital performance. In particular, their new title song “Yet To Come” (The Most Beautiful Moment) took first place on “Top 100” of Melon, the largest music site in Korea. As a result, the group was the first to top the chart within just an hour of release, after chart reorganization. 

In addition, BTS’s “Yet To Come” music video managed to exceed 45 million YouTube views within 20 hours of its release (as of 9 am on June 11th, KST). The music video surpassed 10 million views in 1 hour 59 minutes, 20 million views in 5 hours 22 minutes, and 30 million views in 10 hours 3 minutes, and is trending No. 1 on YouTube music category in many countries and regions.

On the other hand, BTS will unveil stages for their new songs, such as “Yet To Come”, on the official YouTube channel “BANGTANTV” on June 13th, Mnet’s “M Countdown” on June 16th, KBS2’s “Music Bank” on June 17th, and SBS’s “Inkigayo” on June 19th.
