BTS fans flooded Billboard Deputy Editor’s Twitter with negative comments as a result of his controversial statement
Following the controversial statement directed towards BTS, it’s easy to predict that the Billboard Deputy Editor’s Twitter account will become a “battlefield.”
In a recent article posted on Billboard, when asked about INDUSTRY BABY’s #2 debut position on this week’s Billboard Hot 100, Mr. Andrew Unterberger, Billboard’s Deputy Editor, frankly said: “Now ‘Industry Baby’ looks on its way to following a similar trajectory. As long as BTS is going to sell as many copies as they need to stay on top each week, No. 2 debuts are basically the new No. 1 debut.”

Billboard Deputy Editor’s statement has been considered a knockdown blow to BTS fans. It’s nothing rather than he implied that BTS‘ Butter was a money-hit, and that the #2 song is now the hottest in America for a week.

BTS fans flooded Unterberger’s Twitter with hateful comments almost immediately after he made his speech. After being roundly criticized by BTS fans for expressing his opinion, Unterberger has yet to make a statement.

It’s not hard to find hateful comments from BTS fans directed at Billboard’s Deputy Editor all over his Twitter account. Many individuals condemned Unterberger’s unprofessional demeanor and claimed that he was prejudiced against the Korean group.
On the other hand, there are also many opinions against BTS fans. Many people point out that BTS’s fans are now like “a town of vampires who never sleep and love pop music”.
