In Arirang TV’s news discussion <Foreign Correspondents>, foreign media from various countries, including freelancers, journalists, along with the Professor Candace Epps-Robertson, who studies BTS and the ARMY fandom at the University of North Carolina, was connected to analyze the secret of success and future influence of BTS, which is gaining popularity worldwide after 2020.
First, reporter Sakabe Tetsuo analyzed the success factor of BTS as, “BTS music has catchy lyrics and dynamic choreography, and each member has dedicated themselves to it, creating expertise.” Reporter Jack Barton also pointed out that “lyrics and choreography reached the spirit of the times, such as teenagers’ worries and social problems.”
