BTS and Coldplay released “Inside ‘My Universe’ Documentary”, the meeting between the two top artists of the world

A documentary video shows fans how the hit “My Universe” was born in collaboration with BTS and rock group Coldplay.

After the hit ‘My Universe’, a collaboration song between BTS and the world-famous rock band Coldplay, topped the iTunes charts, the documentary ‘Inside My Universe’ of the two artists has been revealed.

On the 26th, a documentary titled ‘Coldplay X BTS Inside ‘My Universe’ Documentary’ was uploaded on BTS’ official YouTube channel. The video vividly shows the production process of two artists meeting and making a song. It is known that Coldplay met and worked directly with BTS in Korea in April.

In the video, Coldplay vocalist Chris Martin revealed that it was very difficult for him to come to Korea. He added that he was lucky enough to stay there for two days to record. The two artists who met for the first time before work shared a warm hug as expected.

Regarding the collaboration with Coldplay, BTS said, “To me, he’s like the king of stadium tour”, ” He had such great influence on me”, “Hearing such a big celebrity like him agree to collaborate with us, I thought “What do I do?” etc.

Martin, who praised “Great work” throughout the work, said, I like a lot of BTS’s music. Talking about production, he explained, “I admire it because it’s a completely different skills.”

BTS and Coldplay constantly chatted throughout the work, maintaining a friendly atmosphere. In the end, they sang together and showed happy laughter.

The previously released ‘My Universe’ was written and composed by Coldplay members, RM, Suga, and J-Hope of BTS. This song, composed of warm lyrics, contains content that inspires courage by saying, ‘A new beginning awaits’ for those who have lost their daily lives due to the epidemic crisis.

It conveys love and comfort to the listeners with Korean and English lyrics. This song is said to be included in Coldplay’s ninth full-length album <Music of the Spears>, which will be released on the 15th of next month.

Meanwhile, BTS was the first artist to perform for ‘2021 Global Citizen Live’ in front of Sungnyemun Gate in Seoul on the 26th. Global Citizen Live is a large-scale live concert hosted every year by Global Citizen, an international anti-poverty social movement group.

As the first artist to perform on the show, BTS sang ‘Permission to Dance’ against the backdrop of Sungnyemun, a national treasure, on a dark night.

The 24-hour live broadcast on this day featured BTS, Coldplay, Elton John, Billie Eilish, Ed Sheeran, Jennifer Lopez, Paul Simon, pianist Lang Lang, Prince Harry, and Meghan Markle of various fields around the world.
