Boy group BTS, member Jungkook and girl group BLACKPINK were nominated for the People’s Choice Awards, an American pop culture awards ceremony.
According to the list of nominees released by the host organization on their website on Oct 26th (local time), BTS was listed in 3 categories: “The group of 2022”, “The music video of 2022” and “The concert tour of 2022”.
BTS member Jungkook was nominated for 2 categories: “The music video of 2022” and “The collaboration song of 2022″ thanks to his collaboration song “Left and Right” with American singer-songwriter Charlie Puth.
At the same time, BLACKPINK was named in “The group of 2022” and “The music video of 2022” (Pink Venom).
Earlier at the awards ceremony last year, BTS took home 3 prizes including “The Group of 2021” and the drama “Squid Game” won “The Bingeworthy Show of 2021”.
The People’s Choice Awards will be held under the sponsorship of NBC Universal’s entertainment-specialized cable TV channel “E” and will select winners across popular culture such as movies, TV, music, games and social media through online voting by fans.
This year’s awards ceremony will be broadcast live on NBC and E Channel on Dec 6th.
