BTS beat trending singers Lim Young-woong and IVE to lead the Singer Brand Reputation Rankings in December 2021
The “December Singer Brand Reputation Rankings” has been announced, drawing keen attention.
On December 25th, The Korea Corporate Reputation Research Institute extracted 135,893,289 big data of Korean singers from Nov. 25th to Dec. 25th 2021 and measures Korean singers’ brand reputation rankings based on participation index, media index, communication index, and community index.
According to the analysis, BTS was named in 1st place, followed by No.2 Lim Young-woong, No.3 IVE, No.4 IU and No.5 Lee Chan-won. The fact that BTS beat Lim Young-woong with a narrow point gap is attracting attention.
Director of Korean Business Research Institute Koo Chang-hwan said, “The result of analyzing the singer brand category revealed an increase of 0.99% compared to November singers’ brand big data (134,563,056)”, adding, “According to detailed analysis, brand consumption rose 0,49%, brand issues rose 1.24%, brand communication rose 0.41%, and brand expansion rose 1.67%”.
He continued to explain, “The brand point of BTS, who maintained their communication through social media, topped the chart. Lim Young-woong, who created good influence based on his fandom community, ranked 2nd place. Meanwhile, IVE, who has stimulated netizens’ curiosity with various charms, came in third place”, adding, “Famous singers who spread positive influence gained high reputation and popularity”.
