BTOB’s Lee Minhyuk, “My weight dropped to 58kg during corona treatment, to the point that I couldn’t breathe.”
Group BTOB’s member Lee Minhyuk revealed the process of fighting against diseases to his fans via live stream after he was cured of coronavirus 19.
BTOB Lee Minhyuk started communicating with fans by hosting an SNS live stream on the 30th. As being diagnosed with corona worried fans, he told his fans how he was doing after he started being cured.
“I was discharged today. Thanks to your support, I’m back,” those were his first words to fans. Lee Minhyuk talked about the moment he was diagnosed with coronavirus infection, “I got a call asking me whether I was going to a quarantine facility or a hospital, but my body temperature was rising from 39 degrees to 40 degrees, so I was immediately hospitalized by ambulance at dawn.“
“I was out of my mind for a week,” Lee said. “The fever was 39 degrees for seven to eight days from the day the symptoms appeared. My body temperature was 38 degrees and 38.5 degrees even though I was given a fever reducer. High fever, a headache, and a bad cough. To the point, I couldn’t breathe. I had a splitting headache,” he narrated the painful moments when he was fighting against the disease.
Lee Minhyuk also assured fans, “Now I have a small cough, but it’s just the cough left from my pneumonia.” He confirmed that he had completed treatment at the hospital and is now well enough to be discharged. “I’ll take care of it so that it won’t leave any aftereffects, and I’ll take the prescribed medication well,” he added.
He even revealed, “I’ve been working out hard preparing for the body profile shoot. I weighed about 62 kilograms without body fat, but after discharge, I weighed 58 kilograms. I think I lost a lot of muscles because I couldn’t exercise,” showing his upset.
Lee Minhyuk was previously confirmed to have a coronavirus case on the 17th. Earlier, his vocal coach had been diagnosed with coronavirus, so Minhyuk had had to undergo a pre-emptive test and the result had come out negative, so he was in self-quarantine. But later, Minhyuk had symptoms of cough and fever on the 16th, so he had to do a PCR test and got the result of the case.
