Both are mixed-race, but Girls Planet 999’s maknae is praised, while TXT member’s sister causes controversy
The two mixed-race trainees in Girls Planet 999 are getting different reactions from netizens.
Along with Huening Bahiyyih – TXT Huening Kai‘s younger sister, Guinn Myah is another outstanding mixed-race trainee in Girls Planet 999. She is expected to be a successor to Produce 101 season 1’s winner Jeon Somi. She has received much attention from fans and viewers since Girls Planet 999 hasn’t been released yet.
Guinn Myah is the youngest trainee on the show, born in 2006. She is half American and half Korean and currently a trainee under TOP Media. Guinn Myah started her passion for art thanks to her parents from an early age. When she was a child, she was invited to model for many children’s fashion brands. In addition to her musical talent, Myah can also speak 3 languages: Korean, Japanese and English.
In the first episodes of the survival show, Myah did not leave much of an impression. However, in the Connect Mission round, Myah was chosen as the center for the Pretty U cover stage. She had a good performance and attracted many new fans thanks to her beautiful, refreshing visual, as well as her bright, confident and full of energy stage presence.
Another mixed-race trainee who also gets much attention is Huening Bahiyyih – TXT Huening Kai‘s younger sister. Bahiyyih always has the highest fancam views. Her self-introduction video in the show also ranks first in terms of views, although her singing and dancing skills are average. Due to this, many viewers think that she is only noticed thanks to her famous brother.
Although she is mixed-race, Bahiyyih‘s beauty still cannot make her stand out from other contestants. Her visual has been involved in many controversies, causing her to receive more mixed reactions. Having a solid international fan base, but in the show, Bahiyyih‘s ranking still could not rise to the top because there are too many trainees with more potential than her.
