Group ATEEZ and BLACKPINK member ROSÉ took first place in each of the ‘Best Female/Male Idols in the First Half of 2021’ on Global K-Pop Fandom Platform ‘Whosfan’ from June 29th to July 5th, under the theme of ‘[WhosPICK] The first half of 2021, who is the best shining female/male idol?’
Through Whosfan’s official SNS account, fans nominate the artists who were active in the first half of 2021 for this Whospic vote. Espa, Dreamcatcher, Oh My Girl, Itzy, StayC, Brave Girls, Twice, Mamamoo, (G)I-DLE, Rosé, Weekly, and Rocket Punch are female idols who were nominated. For male idols, Kang Daniel, Wonho, Treasure, ATEEZ, MONSTA X, N Hyphen, NCT DREAM, Seventeen, Tomorrow X Together, ONF, BTS, SHINee, Kim Wooseok, ASTRO, and NU’EST have competed.
Though before closing the polls there was a little change in rankings, the result came out as female idol ‘Rosé’ and male idol ‘ATEEZ’ took first place with 32.2% and 28.24%, respectively.
Accordingly, Whosfan plans to publish a special article for Rosé and ATEEZ, who took first place in this voting, and to run pop-up advertisements in the app for a week.
Meanwhile, after the official launch on May 22, 2020, Whosfan, a global K-pop fandom platform, through the app, has launched various events, voting polls for the fandom through collaboration with K-pop artists, including Mnet ‘M Countdown’ global pre-voting, has made the app as an essential K-pop app.
