According to a report from YG Entertainment on September 25, BLACKPINK’s “Pretty Savage” stage video (SBS “Inkigayo” 20.10.11) exceeded 200 million views on Youtube this morning.
This is the first time that a performance video on a Korean music show reached 200 million views. It is very unusual for music show videos, not MVs or performance videos, to achieve hundreds of millions of views. This video reached 100 million views 77 days after its release and continued to rise steadily, proving BLACKPINK’s explosive popularity.
“Pretty Savage” is an impressive song with a simple but addictive rap part and explosive beat drop from BLACKPINK’s first full album, “THE ALBUM”. The song was loved a lot because it showed BLACKPINK’s unique girl crush vibe.
“Pretty Savage” has also been streamed more than 100 million times on Spotify and is considered the best song of “THE ALBUM” by the U.S Billboard critics.
