BLACKPINK’s Youtube channel is unsubscribed by many netizens to demand justice for Lisa

After being unsubscribed by many netizens, how many subscribers are left on BLACKPINK’s YouTube channel?

YouTube is the world’s largest online video-sharing platform today. Most artists and groups upload their videos to Youtube, including BLACKPINK. Based on the number of views and subscribers of their channels, the public can track their popularity.

Currently, BLACKPINK’s YouTube channel is the most-subscribed channel of an artist in the world, with 20,264,975,797 views. The channel of 4 girls was established on June 29, 2016 with 389 videos.

As recorded on October 5, BLACKPINK’s YouTube channel has crossed 67.8 million subscribers. But on October 5, a controversy started to arise; Lisa Bar – the biggest fan site of BLACKPINK’s Lisa in China suddenly issued a notice to stop buying BLACKPINK’s album indefinitely. After that, the number of subscribers to BLACKPINK’s channel as of October 6 has dropped to 67.7 million.

The reason for this strong action of Lisa’s fans comes from a post showing that YG deliberately pulls Lisa out of individual fashion activities. BVLGARI CEO JC Babin personally posted on Instagram to express his regret at not being able to work with Lisa even though she is in France: “Our great ambassador Lisa is in Europe. Unfortunately, due to the epidemic, her agency prefers her not participating in events or shows. That’s also the reason why insofar we could not shoot her together with Zendaya, Lily Aldridge, and Vittoria for the BVLGARI Brand Campaign 2021/22 and that we could not run a major event yet together.“

Despite being unsubscribed by many netizens, it was surprising that BLACKPINK’s YouTube channel did not experience a significant drop in subscribers but instead unexpectedly reached 67.9 million on October 9. Even though many netizens have unsubscribed, it appears that the number of new subscribers for girls is even higher! In just two days, they gained 200K new subscribers.

BLACKPINK’s YouTube channel is currently still the artist YouTube channel with the highest number of subscribers, followed by Justin Bieber in second place with 65.5 million, BTS in third with 59.2 million, Marshmello in fourth place with 54 million, and the fifth is Ariana Grande with 49.8 million.
