Today (March 16), YouTube has confirmed that MV “On The Ground” received 41,6 million views within the first 24 hours. Thereby Rosé has set the record for the MV with the most views in the first 24 hours for KPOP solo artist. This previous record was held by PSY for 8 years with “Gentleman” (38.4 million views).

In addition, YouTube also said that Rosé “On The Ground” has broken the record of MV Premiere for a solo artist with 1.2 million viewers.

Not only has the impressive achievements on YouTube, the album -R- has also brought a new record for the main vocal of BLACKPINK. Rosé has just become the female solo artist to sell the most records on Hanteo on the first day, and possibly in the first week.

According to Hanteo, as of 17 p.m on March 16 KST, the album -R- has sold 277,072 copies, surpassing IU with the album “Love Poem” (125,388 copies).

Rosé wait for 2 year to debut solo3 1

Not only that, compared to the album sales of all Kpop female artists (including solo artists and girl groups), Rosé’s sales are currently ranked 2nd, just behind “The Album” of BLACKPINK (589.310 copies) and has surpassed “More & More” of TWICE (274.472 copies). However, this is not the final number, fans can fully expect Rosé to achieve even better results on the first day.

It is known that Rosé’s debut single has surpassed 500,000 pre-order copies (confirmed by YG), thereby holding the record of a female solo artist.

Up to now, On The Ground is also doing well on the iChart charting system.

Congratulations to Rosé and fans for impressive achievements!
