BLACKPINK achieved another World Record, most-streamed girl group on Spotify

As world-renowned Kpop artists, BLACKPINK has become such a hit across the world that they are officially the most streamed female group on music platform Spotify. Accordingly, BLACKPINK, who debuted in 2016 with “Whistle” and “Boombayah”, has surpassed British pop group Little Mix by 400 million streams.

In particular, songs from BLACKPINK have incurred a whopping 8,880,030,049 individual streams, with the most popular being “How You Like That” (746,198,263 streams), “Kill This Love” (672,084,360) and “DDU-DU DDU-DU” (574,613,362).

Apart from being the most-streamed female group on Spotify, BLACKPINK is holding multiple other records, such as “most subscribers for a band on YouTube”, “first K-pop group to reach No.1 on the UK albums chart” (female) and “first K-pop group to reach No.1 on the US albums chart (female)”.

Previously, they also held Guinness World Records titles for the most viewed YouTube video in 24 hours and the most viewed music video in 24 hours, but these records are now held by BTS’ “Dynamite”.

Overall, BLACKPINK’s popularity on Spotify has proven the group’s influence in both their home country and abroad.
