“DDU-DU DDU-DU” helped BlackPink reach two new YouTube records compared to the other Kpop girl groups.
On the morning of November 25th, the MV of “DDU-DU DDU-DU” in the mini album “SQUARE UP” released 15/6 of BLACK PINK has officially exceeded 500 million views on YouTube. This is the first MV of a girl group and the second MV of a Kpop group does this after “DNA” (BTS).
Although MV has reached half a billion views later, this is still considered better than the record of BTS on the achievement of the milestone. While “DNA” reached 500 million views a year a day, “DDU-DU DDU-DU” did this within 5 months and 10 days.
