BTS has reportedly hinted at tough legal actions against malicious netizens.
“We have sent out a total of 41,000 official emails from June 15 to the end of October,” said BigHit Entertainment, BTS’ agency, “More than 70,000 reports have been made regarding the group and each artist.”
The company added, “We requested legal proceedings and reported to the police against malicious netizens who severely damaged their (the artists’) rights by repeatedly committing illegal actions such as making malicious slander, malicious comments, spreading false information, personal attacks and defamation.”
“We will also sternly respond to netizens who falsely spread related information and postings by impersonating employees of our company,” said BigHit Entertainment.
“It will take time to disseminate malicious slander and false information, but we will take all legal action against the original writer and distributor without any discussion or prerogative,” they warned.
