Boy group EXO secured the first place for “Best Global Artists” after fierce competition.
Organized by Ten Asia, the 8th TOP TEN AWARDS (hereinafter referred to as TTA) is an event to select the best global artist in the first half of 2022, and was held under the slogan “The Hottest KPOP WAVE, TTA”.
From the 17th to 30th of August, people from 10 countries, including the US, China, Japan, the UK, Indonesia, Thailand, Mexico, Malaysia, the Philippines, and Korea, participated in the TTA’s preliminary voting. Then, from September 1st to 14th, the final vote for TTA was held.
After fierce competition with ENHYPEN, SEVENTEEN, ASTRO, Kang Daniel, NCT DREAM, (G)I-DLE, and Tempest, EXO took the first place with 973,650 votes, which account for 42.68% of the total vote, thus becoming the Best Global Artist in the first half of 2022.
EXO, who ranked first in the 8th TTA Global, is currently focusing on individual activities, with the exception of Baekhyun, who is serving as a social service worker, and Chanyeol, who has enlisted as an active soldier. In particular, Xiumin releases his first solo album, while Suho, Do Kyungsoo (D.O.), and Sehun meet viewers through acting projects.
