Another member of BTS’s “younger sister” group – LE SSERAFIM has been accused of plagiarism

Although not yet debuting, LE SSERAFIM has been constantly entangled in controversies.

LE SSERAFIM – The girl group under Source Music and HYBE, although not yet debuted, has been involved in a series of controversies, receiving the attention of netizens in recent days.  While Garam‘s school violence scandal is the talk of the town, recently, the teaser video of the last member, Huh Yun Jin, is accused of plagiarism by the audience.

Huh Yun Jin once studied in the US.  She has good vocal ability, especially she can sing Opera.  Through the teaser video, Huh Yun Jin impressed the public with her attractive and dynamic appearance and outstanding height of 1m72.  However, Yun Jin‘s cool playing guitar scene is accused of plagiarizing Avril Lavigne‘s MV Smile.

There are many similarities between Avril Lavigne‘s video released 10 years ago and Huh Yun Jin‘s debut teaser.  The white background, the scenes of playing the guitar, or the part where she lies next to the guitar all reminds the audience of Avril Lavigne‘s MV Smile.

Before Yun Jin, member Kim Chaewon‘s debut teaser was also suspected of plagiarizing Kristen Stewart, so the group is receiving a lot of negative criticism from the online community.  Netizens couldn’t help but wonder if the LE SSERAFIM member wanted to pursue the same image as Avril Lavigne or this continued to be a plagiarized product of “BTS’s sister”.  Some netizens’ comments:

• Does the company think that stealing ideas from 10 years ago will go undetected?

Huh Yun Jin once made a lot of impressions on the public thanks to her outstanding talent and visual when participating in Produce 48. Although she did not enter the debut lineup, she also received much love from the public.  However, even though LE SSERAFIM has not yet debuted, it has continuously encountered controversy and received many criticisms from the online community.
