Amid the cat abuse controversy, Winter (Aespa) is accused of abusing hamsters

On August 31, while talking to a fan on Bubble, a community for idols and fans, Winter mentioned that she used to raise hamsters.

She said that she started with 2 hamsters, but then had 25 hamsters due to their breeding. Winter also expressed her affection to the hamsters, saying, “The babies looked really cute when they were born”

However, she added, “I decided to raise only 1 hamster because he was sick”. Winter didn’t mention anything about the other hamsters except for the one that was sick. As a result, netizens have raised suspicions and accused Winter of abusing hamsters.

In fact, hamsters are the kind of animals that live alone on their own territory. If you want to raise more than 1 hamster, you have to keep them in separate cages. Thus, according to Winter’s story, she raised 2 hamsters in only one cage, then the number of hamsters increased to 25.

Earlier, Winter was embroiled in controversies over animal abuse due to a video of a cat she posted on Bubble on August 25. In the video, Winter touched the cat violently and made the cat feel uncomfortable. After that, she even shouted so the cat got scared and ran away.

Regarding the hamster abuse controversy, many people criticized Winter, saying, “It seems like she didn’t look for any basic information before raising them”, “If you want to raise hamsters, you should know the most basic rules”, “Where did you send the other 24 hamsters?”, “How many controversies over animal abuse would break out again?”

However, other people also commented in defense of Winter: “Maybe she didn’t know about the rules because she was too young”, “Did anyone teach the elementary students the rules of raising hamsters?”, “You should be careful of using Bubble”, “It’s okay if you won’t do that again”
