All K-pop songs that have entered the Billboard Hot 100: BTS’ bside has the same peak as BLACKPINK’s ‘Ice Cream’

The Billboard Hot 100 is a chart that ranks the most popular songs in the United States across all musical genres based on streaming, radio play, and song sales. Because this is a US-centric chart, it’s understandable that Asian musicians may struggle to find a place on it.

In the past, few Korean netizens followed the Billboard Hot 100 ranking to find out national performers. PSY’s breakthrough is a fantastic start, but it has taken a long time for other Kpop artists to gain traction in this U.S chart. Despite the fact that the number of Korean artists able to enter this chart is still quite limited, what they can do is something to be proud of.

Most recently, BTS with the song ‘Butter‘ has become the song of an Asian artist with the most number of No.1 Hot 100 hits (4 times), breaking the record once held by a Japanese artist.
