A Filipino businessman and famous influencer put on an outdoor advertisement in Seoul for a date with Blackpink’s Jennie.
Recently, a billboard was attached on the roof of a building in Seobinggo-dong, Yongsan-gu, Seoul with the message of businessman Christian Albert Gaza asking Jennie (BLACKPINK) out on a dinner date. The billboard was accompanied by a picture of Albert in a suit as well as his words written in Korean and English “You are my ultimate crush. Can I take you out to dinner and make me the happiest man alive?”
Regarding this, Albert explained on his SNS on Oct 31st, “I don’t know how to contact Jennie, so I put on an advertisement in the center of Korea, a few kilometers away from YG Entertainment (Jennie’s agency).”. He continued on Nov 1st, “I spent 1.5 million pesos (about 35 million won) to advertise a dinner offer to Jennie. I’m happier than making money. True happiness is more than money.”
On Nov 4th, he said, “My original plan was to give Jennie a house & lot in South Korea. Sadly, I found out from Koreaboo’s website last October 13 that they will be no longer accepting gifts from avid fans like me. Hence, I have decided to put my dinner invitation to Jennie on a billboard.”
However, netizens expressed their uncomfortable reactions such as “It’s too burdensome”, “Isn’t it good to have moderate fan sentiment?”…
