Ottogi has selected BTS’s Jin as the new Jin Ramen model.
On November 8th, Ottogi posted an advertisement teaser on its official Instagram. In the video, the blue color symbolizing Jin Ramen’s mild flavor and the red color symbolizing the spicy flavor are mixed to become purple.
Based on the purple background, the phrase “Do you like Jin Ramen?” appears and only “Jin” is marked in navy blue.
This implies that the next Jin Ramen model is BTS’s Jin. Ottogi hinted that Jin was chosen as the model with BTS’s symbolic color, purple. The Jin Ramen commercial featuring Jin, will be released on November 11th.
Earlier, in a vlog broadcast in 2016, Jin was eating Jin Ramen with the members when he said, “It feels good to eat ramen with my name on it. I will become a model for this ramen someday.”
To the member’s question “Are you sure?”, Jin said, “I don’t know. It’s my dream. To the brand, are you watching?”
Meanwhile, Jin’s first official solo single, “The Astronaut” has entered Billboard’s main single chart Hot 100. “The Astronaut” debuted at #51 on Hot 100. This is Jin’s first solo entry into Hot 100.
Previously, other members of BTS, J-Hope, Suga, V, and Jungkook, entered Hot 100 with solo songs or drama OSTs and webtoon OSTs.
