After 6 years, Kim Go Eun and SHINee Minho will reunite in the new drama “Yumi’s Cells”

Actress Kim Go Eun and SHINee Minho will appear together for the first time after 6 years in the new movie “Yumi’s Cells”.

In the new drama of tvN, “Yumi’s Cells”, whose first episode will be aired on September 17, Kim Go Eun will act as the main character Yumi while SHINee Choi Minho will be a cameo for the film.

On August 27, tvN released the still cuts for “Yumi’s Cells” which included pictures of Yumi (Kim Go Eun) and Wookie (Min Ho) together. According to the original webtoon by Lee Dong Gun, Wookie is Yumi’s co-worker and also her crush.

Kim Go Eun and Min Ho met for the first time in the movie “Canola” which was filmed in 2015 and released in 2016. It turned out that, in “Canola”, Hye Ji (Kim Go Eun) also had a crush on Han (Choi Min Ho).

Both Kim Go Eun and Choi Min Ho were born in 1991. Min Ho debuted as a member of SHINee in 2008 and acted in many famous movies, including SBS’s “To the beautiful you” and KBS2’s “Hwarang”. Meanwhile, Kim Go Eun debuted in 2012 with her first film “Eungyo” and became famous by showing her great acting skills through tvN’s “Goblin” and “Cheese In The Trap”.

Netizens left comments showing their expectation for the reunion of the 2 actors: “They still look the same, only I’m getting old”, “It’s been 5 years since Canola?”, “Their chemistry will be so great.”

Meanwhile, tvN’s new drama “Yumi’s Cells” will be aired every Friday and Saturday at 10:50 P.M KST, starting from September 17.
