On April 15th aespa made an appearance on Asia Super Young’s global audition project promo video. In the video, SM’s rookie showed off their new looks with new hair style, hinting a comeback. Besides Karina who kept her original hair color, Ningning has red hair, Winter did hair highlighting and Giselle has black hair.
Aespa’s new styles are getting attention and netizens have contradicting opinions. Many fans are impressed with Karina’s outstanding beauty. She is complimented for her soft, girly look with light makeup in contrast to her fierce image on stage.
On the other hand, 3 other members received criticism. Ningning has bright red hair that doesn’t match her round face and rather dark skin tone. Fans was wondering if it was a wig or it was her real hair. Winter has charismatic silver hair highlighting but doesn’t go well with her cute look and black hair doesn’t highlight Giselle’s visual.
Fans assume that SM’s sense if becoming worse. Even the girls’ outfits in the video is considered outdated like they were from 10 years ago. Fans claimed that aespa has amazing visuals that need to be cared for properly.
