Giselle of aespa finally spoke up about her recent controversy.
On the evening of October 23, a behind-the-scenes video of the MV “Savage” was posted on aespa‘s official YouTube channel. In this video there was a moment Giselle playfully lip-synced to the music with the other members and accidentally lip-synced to a song containing the N word.
Seemingly having noticed the response from fans, SM Entertainment (aespa’s management company) has changed to private mode/removed the video.
It seems that the idol has realized her mistake as at noon today, Giselle officially apologized for her controversy.
“Hello, this is GISELLE. I would like to apologize for mouthing the wrongful word from the lyrics of the song that was playing on-site. I had no intentions of doing it with any purpose and got carried away when one of my favorite artist’s song was played. I sincerely apologize.” she said.
After this incident, netizens hope that Giselle will learn to be careful with her actions in the future.
