Recently, a video of a cat posted by Winter (Aespa) has caused controversies.
On August 25, a post was uploaded on an online community titled “Aespa Winter has done something wrong. No, actually her words are cruel“
The post included a short video which was taken and posted on Bubble, a fan community, by Winter herself
In the video, Winter touched the cat’s face violently while repeatedly saying “NO” to the cat, making it feel uncomfortable. After that, Winter suddenly shouted out loud: “Meow“. Being scared by her scream, the cat ran away immediately.
Some Internet users responded to the video, saying, “It’s not to the point of abusing, but she is making the cat uncomfortable”, “I think the cat was stressed out because of her sudden scream”, “This thing is not funny at all, it should not have been posted on the Internet”, “The way she touches the cat is quite violent”, “It’s such a childish behavior”.
On the other hand, some have opposite reactions; they said, “Should Winter be criticized just for doing this?”, “It’s not a big deal”, “Just not do it again in the future”, “You would not understand this if you don’t raise a pet”, “This is not enough to be blamed for abuse”
Meanwhile, Winter is a member of the girl group Aespa whose song “Next Level” has ranked 1st in the female singer category of Gaon digital chart for the 33rd week.
