Actress Jeon Mi-seon was found dead in a hotel room in Jeonju, North Jeolla Province on June 29th.
According to police, Jeon Mi-seon’s manager immediately reported to the police after this manager found her dead in the bathroom of a hotel’s room at around 11:45 a.m.The manager reportedly asked the hotel to give consent and entered the room when he could not reach Jeon Mi-seon. The actress was then taken to a hospital by 119 paramedics, but she had already passed away.
Police said that no suicide note was found in the hotel guest room. Jeon reportedly checked in to the hotel at around 1 a.m. and stayed inside the room alone. They are investigating how and why Jeon Mi-seon had decided to take her own life.
Jeon was scheduled to stage the play “Two Nights and Three Days with Mother” at the Samsung Cultural Center at Chonbuk National University for two days on June 29th and June 30th. The much-anticipated movie “Our Country’s Language” where she appeared as Queen Soheon is also scheduled to be released on the 24th next month.
