Actress Go Joon Hee will sue those who spread malicious rumors saying she has a relation with the Burning Sun case
Actress Go Joon Hee has declared that she will take legal action and is filing a complaint against the malicious commenters.
On September 8, Go Joon Hee’s legal representative (O’Kims law firm) released an official statement. They said:
“Recently, false information that caused defamation to actress Go Joon Hee has been spreading again on Youtube. In the past, there was a rumor saying actress Go Jun Hee was the actress who participated in providing sex at Club Burning Sun. The rumor was confirmed to be false, and we had sued all the Internet users who spread the rumors. Many of them were punished for insulting under the criminal law and violating the Act on Promotion of Information and Information Protection.”
“Although the allegations were confirmed to be not true, such malicious rumors are still spreading on online communities for the purpose of gathering views on Youtube. Therefore, this has caused great damage to the reputation of actress Go Joon Hee.”
“Once again, we want to emphasize that the rumor on Youtube calling Go Joon Hee the Burning Sun sex entertainment actress is not true at all. What the Youtubers and netizens have been spreading is false information that has been maliciously created. Therefore, these actions have damaged the reputation of the actress and can be considered as serious criminal acts.”
O’Kims law firm emphasized, “As Go Joon Hee’s legal representative, we will take all possible legal measures to the end, including criminal and civil charges, without any leniency or tolerance. Therefore, we are demanding you to stop all the acts that would cause damage to the actress, such as creating and distributing false information, and delete all existing defamation posts.”
