While updating about his life, actor Heo Sung-tae also raises fan’s expectations for “Squid Game” season 2. Some even re-examine a recent interview of director Hwang Dong-hyuk.

The uploaded photo shows Heo Sung-tae staring somewhere on a filming set. In particular, he also wore the pants from “Squid Game,” raising questions about whether the season 2 he mentioned means season 2 of “Squid Game.”

Netflix’s original “Squid Game” is about a survival game in which participants risk their lives to win 45.6 billion won in prize money, featuring Lee Jung-jae, Park Hae-soo, Jung Ho-yeon, Wi Ha-joon, Oh Young-soo, Heo Sung-tae, and Anupam Tripathi.

With the recent rise in global popularity, fans’ interest in season 2 has hugely increased. In response, director Hwang Dong-hyuk said in a recent interview with CNN, “The story of Frontman (Lee Byung-hun) and police Junho ( Wi Ha-Joon) wasn’t explained in Season 1. If we get to do season 2, I would like to explain their story,” he said. “I also want to tell the story about the man (Gong Yoo) who carries the paper flip game in his bag.”

Director Hwang then complained, “It’s too big to write, produce, and direct the series alone, so I’m very worried about season 2.” In addition, Kim Min-young, vice president of Netflix content in the Asia-Pacific region, said in an interview with the U.S. media The Hollywood Reporter that “We are still talking about Season 2.”
