A Korean actress who has been trying to convince everyone that she is not a foreigner for the past 20 years

Kim Young-ji is 100% Korean but is always mistaken as a foreigner due to her appearance.

Born in 1991, Kim Yong-ji, who captivated the advertising industry with her charming and mysterious atmosphere, debuted in 2015 as a model for Samsung.

She soon became a star of the advertising industry thanks to her unique appearance, especially her eyes, and her expressions. After promoting as a model, she had her debut as an actress by playing Hotaru, an astrologer in the drama “Mr. Sunshine”.

She showed off her chemistry with Yoo Yeon-seok, who played Gu Dong-mae, in that drama. Hotaru, who couldn’t speak, won the public with just her eyes, leaving a positive impression.

Since then, she has played unforgettable characters in many famous dramas such as “Watcher,” “The Lies Within,” “The King: Eternal Monarch,” and “Tale of the Nine Tailed.”

She looks chic, but she smiles a lot and has a very active personality, which is a totally different opposite from her looks. She is also proud of her strength, saying that she has a strong mentality.

She was once at the center of attention for her exotic appearance, and people even debated whether she was related to actress Han So-hee or not. However, she has officially answered that she was from the Gwangsan Kim clan, and both of her parents are native Koreans!

She had had experience studying in Canada and was going to major in culinary then, but at the recommendation of her father, she turned to the Theater Department and started acting. After graduating from Seoul National University of Arts, she is gradually building up her acting skills as an actress.

Kim Yong-ji recently showed great growth with her first starring role as a DJ in “Doom Doom,” which is scheduled to be released in September. “Doom Doom” tells the story of Eana, who dreamed of becoming a DJ but had to let go of music because of her obsessive mother, growing up and finding herself again through the beat.
