A fierce competition among US programs to have BTS on air

The global idol group BTS is kicking off the world tour in Los Angeles on September 5th and their interviews with local media and celebrities are attracting a lot of attention.

George Pennacchio, who is in charge of entertainment news at ABC7, a leading station in California, said on his SNS on Monday: “Okay, #BTSARMY, I hate to break this news but I learned today that @BTS_twt has now decided to turn down ALL interview requests while they’re L.A. I’m told the guys want to focus on their shows “and are doing absolutely nothing else.” I’ll still cover the concert for you. #BTS

James Corden, the host of the CBS’s “The Late Late Show” has called for BTS to take part in an episode of Carpool Karaoke, simply because he loves Jimin’s solo Serendipity so much. The 40-year-old tweeted: “I want @BTS_twt to come on my show and perform serendipity so bad! Maybe we could even sing it in a #CarpoolKaraoke?” “Serendipity” is the song that Jimin sang solo in this repackage album “LOVE YOURSELF 結 Answer.”
MC Tyra Banks from the NBC’s popular entertainment program America’s Got Talent also sent a message to BTS. She mentioned the members’ names one by one and asked them to appear on her program.

However, it was shared that BTS would not have any interviews while in Los Angeles for their world tour. Instead, they decided to have a meeting with local fans through “A Conversation With BTS” in LA on this 11st. It is an event of the Grammy Museum, moderated by GRAMMY Museum Artistic Director Scott Goldman and will be held at the Clive Davis Theater.

It’s a good thing that they turned down all interviews“, said the American educator and author Rafranz Davis, who claims to be a fan of BTS.
