A drama beat Yoo Jae-suk’s entertainment shows to be Koreans’ No.1 favorite TV program in December with its rating exceeding 30%

Gallup Korea revealed the rankings of TV programs that Koreans like the most with “Young Lady and Gentlemen” topping the chart for 2 months in a row.

A drama is attracting keen attention by topping the “Koreans’ Favorite TV Programs” rankings for two consecutive months. That’s the KBS2’s weekend drama “Young Lady and Gentlemen”, which has recorded high ratings.

Gallup Korea announced the result of a survey titled “Koreans’ Favorite TV Programs in December” on December 21st. The survey was conducted on 1000 Koreans aged 18 and older from Dec 14th to Dec 16th. The response rate was 13%.

According to the result announcement, “Young Lady and Gentlemen” beat No.2 TV Chosun’s “Tomorrow’s National Singer”, No.3 MBC’s “Hangout with Yoo”, and No.4 tvN’s “Yoo Quiz on the Block” to rank 1st place in the list.

“Young Lady and Gentlemen” was voted by 5.5% of the survey’s participants, followed by “Tomorrow’s National Singer” (4.8%), “Hangout with Yoo” (4.2%), and “Yoo Quiz on the Block” (4.2%). Following November’s survey result, “Young Lady and Gentlemen” also drew attention as it has topped this ranking for 2 consecutive months.

In particular, this drama depicts a story with many ups and downs that takes place when a gentleman Lee Young-guk (Ji Hyun-woo) takes responsibility for his choices and finds happiness after meeting a low-class lady Park Dan-dan (Lee Se-hee).

Currently, “Young Laday and Gentlemen” is one of the most popular dramas, with its ratings exceeding 30%. The 26th episode, which was aired on December 19th, recorded a record-breaking rating of 34.5%.

Moreover, even its OSTs sung by famous trot singers Lim Young-woong and Jung Dong-won are gaining huge popularity, contributing to this drama’s great success.

Meanwhile, other dramas, such as KBS2’s “The King’s Affection”, SBS’s “Running Man”, MBC’s “The Red Sleeve”, MBN’s “I Am A Natural Person”, SBS’s “My Little Old Boy”, MBC’s “The Second Husband”, KBS1’s “The All-Round Wife”, JTBC’s “Sing Again 2”, SBS’s “The Story of That Day Biting the Tail”, Channel A’s “My Golden Kids”, SBS’s “Kick A Goal”, JTBC’s “We Kick Together”, KBS2’s “Red Shoes”, SBS’s “Unanswered Questions”, KBS2’s “Love Twist”, and JTBC’s “Knowing Bros”, were also listed in “Koreans’ Favorite TV Programs” December rankings.
