A Chinese influencer drank pesticide on stream after seeing a malicious comment telling her to do so

A tragic incident occurred after this Chinese influencer, who has hundreds of thousands of fans, took the excessive prank comments and made the extreme choice.

According to the Chinese media, Lou Xiao Mao Mao Zi fell unconscious shortly after she suddenly drank pesticide during a live broadcast on Oct 15th. The rescue team immediately took her to a nearby hospital after receiving the report, however, Lou Xiao Mao Mao Zi eventually passed away while being treated.

She had recently confessed to having depression. However, some Internet users reportedly posted malicious comments such as “Drink pesticide” to which she actually did. With about 600.000 followers as a Chinese SNS celeb, she recently confessed that she was suffering from depression. “I’m happy and joyful on social media, but I’m not as happy as people know me to be. I’ve even tried to make extreme choices twice recently because of my depression,” she confessed. Some netizens mocked her confession, telling her to “Prove that you have depression in front of this many people” and “Drink some pesticide”.

After the truth was revealed, the influencer’s family is preparing a lawsuit against the netizens who had directly encouraged Lou Xiao Mao Mao Zi to drink pesticide. Meanwhile, after the incident was made public, the cyber team of the Public Security Bureau in charge has reportedly launched an investigation.
