Trainees are only able to have 2~3 hours of sleep and practice singing and dancing non-stop every day. Until now, there are many former trainees share their journey during trainee days and the aftereffects of it on their life.

Ex-SM trainee shares that if you’re late or go against the rules you have to sing while running around the practice room 10 times. You train by singing while doing sit-ups and while someone hits your stomach in order to develop muscle and vocal power.

The entertainment agency would always pressure trainees into reducing their calorie intake and check your body fat percentage every month and teach you manners and attitude. If you don’t improve, they would make you practice all over again.

One of the members of the girl group “Sonamoo” revealed that her agency required all the trainees to weigh a specific weight by the end of each day, otherwise they wouldn’t be allowed to go home. Moreover, if they weighed over a specific weight, the agency would terminate the trainees’ contracts.
Everyone has their own training program. If you don’t improve but you’re pretty they tell you to stay underwater and hold your breath for 5 minutes.
During monthly evaluation, it is very important to show your passion and improvement; otherwise, you will be forced to leave the company after 2 – 3 months.

Trainee will not receive any allowances. However, the company will provide you with accomodation and lessons.
