56% of the world’s population have watched BTS’s music videos

More than half of the world’s population watched the music videos of BTS.

BTS became a group that has 9 music videos with more than 300 million views at 9:44 p.m. on the 23rd. On that day, the music video for track from BTS’s “WINGS: YOU NEVER WALK ALONE” album – Not Today – reached more than 300 million views on YouTube. Following “DNA,” “Fire”, “DOPE”, “FAKE LOVE”, “MIC Drop” remix, “Blood, Sweat and Tears”, “Save ME” and “IDOL”, BTS has recorded the ninth music video of 300 million views. They have the most 300 million views music video among Korean artists.

With the adding of one more 300-million-view music video to BTS’s collection, the number of views on those music videos alone exceeded 4.1 billion. BTS has the first Korean music video record of 600 million views with ‘DNA.’ 500 million views for “FIRE”, 400 million views for “FAKE LOVE”, “MIC Drop Remix”, “Blood Sweat and Tears”, 300 million views for “Save Me”, “IDOL”, “Not Today”‘s music video, 200 million views for “Boy in Luv” and “Spring Day”, 100 million views for “Danger”, “I NEED U”, “War of Hormones”, “Just One Day” and “We are Bulletproof PT.2”. Although in some cases, the same people have watched it many times, simple figures suggest that more than 4.1 billion people out of about 7.3 billion people around the world have seen BTS’s music videos. This means that about 56% of the world’s population have watched them. They are indeed a global-scale group. What’s surprising is that not only the title song but also the b-sides recorded high number of hits.

This momentum and upward trend will be continued with the world tour. This year, the tour will be held on three continents with 10 nights at 8 cities across North and South America, Europe, and Asia. Global attention is pointing towards them performing at the Wembley Stadium where the world-renowned band Queen held the “Live Aid” concert in London, the U.K. The venue can accommodate 90,000 to 100,000 people. It will be a performance that will confirm BTS’ global popularity once again.
