5 heart-fluttering Korean dramas without a kiss scene

Despite not having any kiss scenes, these 5 dramas still perfectly portrayed sweet and romantic love stories.

Unlike the recent trend of having kiss scenes or bed scenes at the beginning of Korean dramas, the couples in these 5 series still captured the hearts of fans with only innocent romances with no kiss.

1. Terius Behind Me

Introduced as a melodrama, “Terius Behind Me” doesn’t have any kiss scenes. Even until the last episode, the most romantic scene is when the main couple Kim Bon (So Ji Sub) and Go Ae Rin (Jung In Sun) hold their wedding with beautiful flowers and candles. However, audiences were still able to feel their sweet love, which is created based on a balance of melodrama and action factors in the series.

2. 7 First Kisses

Although the drama’s title is “7 First Kisses,” in reality it does not have any kiss scenes. At the end of each episode, the female protagonist only almost touches lips with the male characters.  However, a kiss scene is unnecessary as the appearance of 7 Korean top actors and idols, including Kai (EXO), Lee Min Ho, Taecyeon (2PM), Lee Jun Ki, Ji Chang Wook, Park Hae Jin, are fluttering enough to female fans.

The film revolves around Min Soo Jin (Lee Cho Hee), an employee working at a shopping center who has to celebrate her 25th birthday in loneliness and work.  While working, she saw a forgotten passport of a guest by chance and returned it. The passport turned out to belong an angel (Choi Ji Woo), who fulfilled Soo Jin’s wish to flirted with and loved by 7 handsome men.

3. Mirror Of The Witch

Despite their romantic relationship in the drama, Seo Ri (Kim Sae Ron) and Heo Jun (Yoon Shi Yoon) do not have any kissing scenes in “Mirror Of The Witch.”  It’s likely because the drama was made in 2016 when Kim Sae Ron was 16 years old and Yoon Si Yoon was 30 years old.  Because of the age gap, the director and screenwriter deliberately avoided making kissing scenes between the two, making the audience more comfortable when watching the drama.

Mirror Of The Witch tells about an unfortunate princess (Kim Sae Ron) being abandoned in the mountain due to the curse by a witch. After that, she met Heo Jun (Yoon Si Yoon), who took good care of her.

4. Mr. Sunshine

Mr. Sunshine centres around Choi Yoo Jin (Lee Byung Hun), a Korean man who left his hometown from an early age to escape to the United States. After returning to Korea as an American soldier, Choi Yoo Jin meets and falls in love with Go Ae Shin (Kim Tae Ri) – an aristocrat’s granddaughter. Unfortunately, their love encounters many obstacles and of course, the couple does not have any kiss scenes in the drama.

5. One Sunny Day

With 10 episodes, One Sunny Day revolves around Kim Ji Ho (So Ji Sub), a broken hearted man who winds up in Jeju Island for a work project. Here, he meets a girl (Kim Ji Won). Both of them get robbed and have to sleep in the same guest house. Because of that coincidence, the two fell in love. The work is still sweet and romantic even without a kiss scene.
