Despite having an impressive filmography with many impressive roles, the following Korean actors cannot avoid being criticized for leaving viewers underwhelmed in roles that lack breakthroughs. Out of many characters that these Korean actors play, which one lets the audience down the most?
1. Kim Soo Hyun – Seung Chan (The Producers)
After the huge success of the hit drama’ The Moon Embracing the Sun’, ‘My Love From The Star’, Kim Soo Hyun rose to become one of the most popular Korean actors. However, when it comes to the weakest role in Kim Soo Hyun’s acting career, it has to be Seung Chan in The Producers. Although this is the role that helps him win the Daesang award, most viewers think that Kim Soo Hyun’s acting in this drama is somewhat repetitive of his character Do Min Joon in My Love From The Star. Many netizens even think that Kim Soo Hyun’s performance in The Producers is not worthy of the Daesang award.
2. Song Hye Kyo – Cha Soo Hyun (Encounter)
Encounter is a drama that marks the return of Song Hye Kyo after a long absence. However, the drama received many negative comments from the audience. Many viewers think that Cha Soo Hyun in Encounter is the most forgettable role in Song Hye Kyo’s career. Most netizens think that Song Hye Kyo’s acting in Encounter fails to impress. Viewers cannot see the difference and outstanding personality of Cha Soo Hyun compared to other female lead characters that the actress took on before.
3. Lee Min Ho – Lee Gon (The King: Eternal Monarch)
Lee Min Ho is always one of the top Korean stars with outstanding beauty and the most media attraction, but his acting is still the subject of eternal controversy. Prominent among them is his recent role in ‘The King: Eternal Monarch’. Because, the audience once again saw the combination of Goo Jun Pyo (Boys Over Flowers), Kim Tan (The Heirs) in Emperor Lee Gon.
