“2022 MAMA AWARDS” candidates were unveiled at 6 PM (KST) on Oct 24th (Monday).
Taeyeon, Seulgi, Nayeon, IU and Miyeon were nominated for this year’s Best Female Artist. J-Hope, Kang Daniel, Lim Young-woong, Psy and Zico stood shoulder to shoulder for the Best Male Artist award.
TXT, NCT DREAM, SEVENTEEN, ENHYPEN, Stray Kids and BTS were nominated for Best Male Group. ITZY, (G)I-DLE, aespa, BLACKPINK, TWICE and Red Velvet were nominated for Best Female Group.
Next, NMIXX, Choi Ye-na, IVE, Kep1er, LE SSERAFIM and NewJeans will compete as candidates for the Best New Female Artist award. Candidates for Best New Male Artist were ATBO, Tempest, TNX, Xdinary Heroes and Younite.
Big Bang’s “Still Life”, BTS’ “Yet To Come”, Davichi’s “Fanfare”, ENHYPEN’s “Polaroid Love” and WINNER’s “I LOVE U” will compete for the Best Vocal Performance – Group award.
Best Vocal Performance – Solo featured various genres such as IU’s “Drama”, Kim Min-seok’s “Drunken Confession”, Lee Mu-jin’s “When It Snows” (Feat. Heize), Lim Young-woong’s “Our Blues” and Taeyeon’s “INVU.
In addition, nominees for Best Band Performance, Best OST, Best Collaboration, Best HipHop & Urban Music, Best Dance Performance – Solo, Best Dance Performance – Male Group and Best Dance Performance – Female Group were revealed.
