2021 girl groups’ combination: Online communities’ comment sections are exploding right now
Girl groups' representative members attracted attention as they gathered in one place.
On Dec 17th, a group photo of girl groups’ representative members was released on official SNS accounts of “2021 KBS Gayo Daechukje“.
According to the photo, 9 members from 6 girl groups Red Velvet, Oh My Girl, Brave Girls, ITZY, StayC and IVE created a combination to cover SNSD‘s “Way To Go“.
In particular, those 9 girls are Red Velvet‘s Wendy, Oh My Girl‘s Jihyo, Brave Girls‘ Yuna, ITZY‘s Yuna & Chaeryeong, StayC‘s Sieun & Yoon and IVE‘s Wonyoung & Yujin.
As trending girl groups’ members gathered in one place, the photo drew keen attention right after it was released. It got more than 7,000 retweets, 3,800 shares as well as 11,000 likes within an hour of its release.
The response was also hot on online communities where the photo was shared. In an online community, netizens left comments expressing expectations for the special stage or calling out their favorite member’s name.
“2021 KBS Gayo Daechukje” will be hosted by Cha Eun-woo, Seolhyun and Rowoon.
This event is expected to feature 20 artists, including Red Velvet, Oh My Girl, Kang Daniel, THE BOYZ, Stray Kids, ITZY, TXT, ENHYPEN, aespa, Lee Mujin, Seventeen, Sunmi, NU’EST, ASTRO, Brave Girls, NCT U, SF9, Kim Wooseok, StayC and IVE.
