Unit 1 consists of the aces of the aces will be revealed under the name of “GOT The Beat” at SMTOWN’s upcoming online concert.
A unit consisting of SM Entertainment‘s ace members such as the “Asian Star” BoA, Girls’ Generation’s Taeyeon and Hyoyeon, Red Velvet’s Seulgi and Wendy, and aespa’s Karina and Winter will soon be released. This is the first time for these singers and groups, who have reached the top in their separate ways, to gather as a unit.
According to their agency SM Entertainment on Dec 27th, they will launch a new concept project called “Girls on Top,” which will showcase new units of combinations for each different theme.
The name of this unit consisting of seven members, including BoA, Taeyeon and Hyoyeon, Seulgi and Wendy, Karina and Winter, is “GOT the beat”. As each member has gained popularity for their solo activities or excellent vocal skills and splendid performances within their own group, the news about this unit is enough to attract attention.
SM Entertainment said, “As it consists of members of groups that represent all generations of K-pop, this unit is expected to create an all-time synergy.”
Their first stage will be unveiled splendidly at the concert “SMTown Live 2022: SMC U Express @Gwangya,” which will be released online for free at 1 p.m. on New Year’s Day. Their new song will also be released on major music sites at 6 p.m. on Jan 3rd.
Starting with them, other projects such as the second unit will come out sequentially.
