“The Boyz Hyunjae Spotted Dating”, Baffling Article Self-published by the Agency
The management agency of The Boyz recently published an article about member Hyunjae being spotted on a date.
On April 23, a topic titled “The Boyz’s agency self-discloses a member’s current romantic relationship… Bizarre marketing” was published on the Korean forum “theqoo”, garnering massive attention.
According to this topic, back on April 22, 2 photos were posted on The Boyz’s official SNS with the title “[Exclusive] The Boyz currently on a date at Hangang Park… Who are they? (Comprehensive).”
The aforementioned article copied exactly the format of romance rumors often reported by Dispatch, and revealed a “paparazzi cut” of The Boyz member Hyunjae, saying he enjoyed a date with someone at Hangang Park on April 4, 2024.
This report also wrote, “Hyunjae went on a date to Macheon Jungang Market. The other person is fellow member Younghoon. The two were born in 1997 and are the same age. Younghoon drove the car himself, and the two went shopping together at the market”.
“Upon arriving at the camping site, Hyunjae grilled meat, and Younghoon made stew”, it was also said, adding, “It was a familiar and perfect chemistry as the final couple of ‘The Boyz’s Love Letter’. Fans who first read the title and photos were initially surprised, thinking that this is actually a current dating rumor. As it turns out, it was written for the purpose of promoting its own content, but some fans are expressing their anger towards the agency.
