SNSD’s Photo Book Done By Min Hee Jin 14 Years Ago Went Due To Similar Vibe With NewJeans’ New MV

Many people have to admit that Min Hee-jin's aesthetic sense is never outdated.

The war between “NewJeans’ mother” Min Hee Jin and HYBE seems to have no signs of ending, causing the public to continuously pour its attention to the drama. In the midst of the “civil war,” a project of which Min Hee Jin was the creative director 14 years ago suddenly became viral again. It was SNSD’s photo book titled “Girls in Tokyo,” which includes 354 pages of photos accompanied by a 1-hour DVD released in June 2010. The concept of this photo book is quite simple, capturing the moments of SNSD playing and cycling on the beach in simple outfits. The photos give comfortable and gentle feelings because of their youthful atmosphere.

Recently, NewJeans also released the MV for “Bubble Gum” with a gentle, healing melody. The MV also records the members’ daily activities and playing on the beach, which has many similarities with SNSD’s photo book. This proves that Min Hee Jin has persistently pursued the school youth concept since 14 years ago.
