Reason Ex-T-ara Areum Broke Up With New Boyfriend While Being Pregnant With His Child

On the morning of April 19th, SPOTV News reported that former T-ara member Areum had broken up with her new boyfriend Seo Dong-hoon 4 months after publicizing their relationship. In particular, Areum just announced her pregnancy with Seo Dong-hoon’s baby last week.

Later on the same day, SPOTV News also revealed the reason behind their breakup. Accordingly, Areum and Seo Dong-hoon have become estranged due to a series of conflicts recently. This news surprised netizens as the female idol still insisted that she would continue dating Seo Dong-hoon despite continuous controversies surrounding them. At that time, many people thought the two would be together for a long time.

Rumors of Areum’s breakup with Seo Dong-hoon broke out when she suddenly unfollowed her ex-boyfriend on Instagram and deleted all the pictures taken with him.

At the end of March, Korean media reported that Areum attempted suicide due to pressure from her private life issues, including her ex-husband’s assault, fraud suspicions, and malicious comments from netizens. Soon later, Dispatch exposed Areum and Seo Dong-hoon’s scam of 42 million won from 10 victims. In addition, other newspapers also revealed evidence proving that Seo Dong-hoon was imprisoned in the past for sexual assault. Areum claimed that a hacker took control of her account and committed fraud, however, netizens continued to raise doubts over her explanation.

Meanwhile, Areum debuted in 2012 as a member of T-ara but she left the group after one year due to health reasons. She married businessman Kim Young-geul in 2019 and has two sons. In December last year, Areum announced her divorce from Kim and confirmed her romance with Seo Dong-hoon.
